Ever CLI

The Ever CLI is the command-line tool for installing, managing, and operating EDH systems.

Installation

npm install -g @ever-healthcare/ever-cli

Or use directly from the repo:

cd edh-central
npm run edh

Commands

ever init

Initialize a new EDH installation. Walks you through setup interactively.

ever init              # Interactive setup
ever init --quick      # Quick setup with defaults
ever init --dir ./my-edh  # Custom directory
ever init --skip-docker   # Skip Docker setup

What it does:

1. Checks prerequisites (Node, npm, Git, Docker)
2. Clones or detects edh-central repo
3. Configures .env from template
4. Installs all dependencies
5. Builds core crypto library
6. Compiles smart contracts
7. Optionally starts Docker infrastructure

ever status

Check the health of your EDH installation.

ever status            # Quick overview
ever status --verbose  # Detailed per-component status

Shows:

• Prerequisite versions
• Component install/build status
• Environment configuration
• Deployed contract addresses
• Docker service status

ever doctor

Diagnose common issues.

ever doctor

Checks:

• Node.js version
• Dependencies installed
• Core library built
• Contracts compiled
• ABIs extracted
• Docker running
• Contracts deployed
• Ports available

Each failed check includes a suggested fix.

ever upgrade

Upgrade all components to the latest version.

ever upgrade           # Full upgrade
ever upgrade --dry-run # Preview changes
ever upgrade --core-only  # Only upgrade crypto library

Steps:

1. Git pull latest
2. Reinstall dependencies
3. Rebuild core library
4. Recompile contracts
5. Re-extract ABIs

ever deploy

Deploy smart contracts interactively.

ever deploy                    # Interactive network selection
ever deploy --network testnet  # Direct deploy
ever deploy --verify           # Verify on block explorer

Available networks:

• Localhost (Hardhat node)
• Testnet (from .env)
• Polygon Mumbai
• Polygon Mainnet
• Mainnet (from .env)

Mainnet deployments require typing DEPLOY to confirm.

ever wallet

Wallet management commands.

ever wallet create     # Generate new wallet
ever wallet info       # Show wallet info
ever wallet verify     # Verify access logs on-chain
ever wallet export     # Export encrypted backup

ever wallet create

Generates a new EDH wallet with Scrypt-derived encryption keys.

• Prompts for password (min 8 characters)
• Uses Scrypt (N=16384, r=8, p=1) for key derivation
• Stores only public metadata — private key is derived from password on demand

ever wallet verify

Verifies that access logs haven't been tampered with by:

1. Fetching logs from the backend
2. Rebuilding the Merkle tree locally
3. Comparing the root with what's anchored on-chain
4. Checking the chain integrity (previous root links)
